Tempe Arizona has a lot to off today for those living nearby. As a full time Arizona State University student, I enjoy being able to venture around this part of the city by campus and experience the beauty of what it offers. There is still plenty of areas near the largest public campus in America to find peace and quite enjoy the landscapes. This animation is the start of a larger work to be able to show a potential day like atmosphere of what it is like to wake up and head to campus for the day to return back home and experience the inspiring night sky when most people are fast asleep. This is still a work in progress and will continue to grow and develop into something greater. I chose the locations that I did in hopes to capture some of the high flow traffic areas to really see the movement of people/cars/environment and worked with the times of days that might have been rush hour or times between classes. There are certain scenes I wasn't able to get to or photograph due to weather not acting how I wanted or my life not allowing the opportunity to make it there. However, when I was able to go out for the most part, the weather - mostly the clouds - did a great job of also helping to get the feel of movement through the work. I plan on finishing most of the clips I had desired for and editing it down to create a more complete timelapse along with the sounds of the scenes you see.
[Guesstimate about 8000 photos]
