Hello and welcome to my Weebly Homepage. My name is Sean Sheridan and I am a first year art student. Although I am 49 years of age, I am in a new chapter in my life since separating from the Army. Art has always been more than just a casual interest of mine, so I wanted to explore and follow that driving force within my heart and mind.

The class "Introduction To Digital Media"  was not what I expected. In fact, it was much better than I thought it would be. Given all the different projects and assignments, I have created a solid foundation for various digital media software programs such as; Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition and Premiere Pro. At the same time, this class enabled me to tap into the creative side of myself.

Each project had it's own unique technical and creative challenges. Like most things in life, you get out of it what you put into it. Accepting the challenge to learn, working hard and pushing through the hard spots, will garner a refined product more times than not.

I am both humbled and appreciative for this course. The opportunity to learn and create in a different way is something I can take with me while moving forward.

Regarding the image above, it is a photo I took while deployed in Afghanistan. It is a small village near an outpost we would use to conduct patrols from. The photo depicts a common scene in that part of the world. It's almost like going back in time. They live a hard and regimented life. They have no electricity, no running water and they tend to their fields every day from sun up to sun down. If you look closely you can see some women working the fields in the foreground. More than anything, they are amazing people.
