Animation Project:  "Trojan Checkers"

The animation "Trojan Checkers" is a comical interpretation inspired by an image depicted on an ancient Greek vase. The scene represented on the vase is of two Greek Heros, Ajax and Achilles who are enjoying a board game and conversation presumably between battles during the Trojan War.

As a combat veteran and one who has a deep appreciation for all things artistic, I sought to show a lighter side of war. The scene of Ajax and Achilles demonstrates the idea that war is not all doom and gloom and spending brief moments with your friend doing trivial things can help pass the time and more importantly take your mind off what's happening in the periphery.
