Harry Wood
Undergrad juried Show
Harry Wood Gallery Call for Entries Winter Juried Undergraduate Exhibition
Each undergraduate student is eligible to submit one work for jurying. The piece should be completely planned and constructed by you while enrolled in the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art. We will collect work on Dec. 5, 2014, 2–2:30 p.m. The show will be juried by two school of art professors 2:30–5 p.m. and the selections will be announced at 5. If your work is accepted in to the show, the Gallery Exhibitions class will install it that day, if your work is not accepted, you will need to pick it up at 5 as the gallery does not have any storage space.
Each work must be labeled with your name and the title of the piece before delivery to the gallery.
All work delivered to the gallery for exhibition must be ready to exhibit. You must have everything that will be needed for installation at the time of delivery.
- Two-dimensional: Framed work must have wire attached to the back. Please indicate the top of your work by drawing an arrow to the top and writing the word TOP. Clip-on frames may be used. If no frame is desired, you must provide all materials necessary to install the work properly. Glass must be cut to the proper size and cleaned before being brought to the gallery.
- Three-dimensional: Please indicate front and back, top and bottom. You must supply extension cords, tape or other installation materials needed to install the work. The gallery has a limited supply of pedestals available.
- Video: Please bring your digital file on a USB drive as a .mp4 file with h.264 encoding. We have a number televisions and projectors that we can use to display video. If there is more than one video work in the show, your piece may be looped with other videos to all play on one TV or projector.
If necessary, detailed installation instructions with diagrams should be written out.
If the gallery staff questions the installation instructions, method or hardware, either the piece will not be installed or you will be asked to install the piece and be responsible for any damage or breakage that occurs.
SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
There will be an opening reception on the Tuesday evening, 6–8 p.m.
Work should be picked up between 3–4 p.m. on the closing Friday. There will be no storage after 5 p.m.
