The first review I read was for 'Art News' and written by Doug McClemont. The review was for an exhibit of works by artist Israel Lund at the David Lewis Gallery in New York City. McClemont's review of artist Israel Lund's work was straight forward, descriptive and whimsical. Giving the reader an excellent mental image of the exhibit's arrangement as well as a brief synopsis of the artist's medium and production process.

The second review I read was for the 'New York Times' written by Martha Schwendener. The review is of an exhibit of Chris Martin's solo exhibit at the Anton Kern Gallery in New york City. Schwendener's review was an astute analysis of Martin's art work and provides both admiration and constructive criticism without being insulting. Schwendener also gives an excellent visual image of Martin's work and I felt her analysis of the art was a bit more successful at speaking to the arts construction and relationship to other art styles and similar artists.
